Friendswood's Concerts in the Park series kicks off tonight!

Friendswood's annual Concerts in the Park series is kicking off tonight with the Friendswood High School jazz band! Throughout the months of May and June, Friendswood will host a series of concerts each Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Stevenson Park. The lineup will include a variety of bands, artists and genres, from rock to '80s to Latin, blues, zydeco, and much more.

Online store Luxie Plum Boutique to open brick-and-mortar Friendswood location

Friendswood ISD to host Kindergarten and new student registration for 2017-18 school year

Friendswood ISD's Kindergarten registration for the 2017-2018 school year is fast approaching! A special registration for those students who will be Kindergarteners in this fall will be held from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at the FISD campus that you are zoned to. Friendswood's Bergamos Retreat to expand location

Friendswood's Bergamos Retreat is expanding its location at 313 E. Edgewood Street. This Italian-inspired spa features spa services for both men and women, including steam rooms and saunas, facials, waxing, skin treatments, plunge pools and much more. Construction will begin this month and will run for a year; however, the spa will stay open during the construction period.

Friendswood High School students qualify for national Academic Decathlon competition

Four students from Friendswood High School recently qualified for the Academic Decathlon national compeitition, which will be held in Madison, Wisconsin later this month. These students, Hannah Xia, Joachim Bendien, Daniel Devoll, and Audrey Isaak, were selected for their high overall scores at the state competition. Friendswood High School's "Les Mis" performance nominated for awards

The Tommy Tune Awards, the annual high school musical awards ceremony, recently announced its award nominees, and Friendswood High School's production of "Les Mis" received 14 out of 17 nominations! These nominations included those for best choreography, best direction, best lead actress and best lead actor, among many more.

Friendswood ISD Spanish teacher wins national award

Kimberly Hall, a Spanish teacher at Friendswood Junior High, recently won the National Spanish Exam Teacher Study Abroad Scholarship, which will fund a study abroad trip to Spain this summer. This scholarship gives educators the opportunity to grow professionally across the globe. Hall was one of only six educators across the country to receive this honor.
