Friendswood High School seniors offered millions in scholarship money

Nearly 150 Friendswood High School seniors attended the annual Friendswood High School Senior Awards Night in late May, where over $10 million in scholarship money was given away. These scholarships were presented by college and military recruiters, teachers, counselors, FHS administrators and PTO representatives. Friendswood High School Class of 2017 to graduate June 3

Friendswood ISD Board selects final Superintendent candidate

The Friendswood ISD Board of Trustees recently unanimously voted to name Thad Roher as the lone finalist for the vacant Friendswood ISD superintendent position. Roher graduated from Barclay College with a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education and received his Master's degree in Education Administration from Fort Hays State University. Friendswood High School students compete at state art competition

Three Friendswood High School art students recently competed at the Visual Art State Event, which was held in San Antonio at Madison High School. With over 37,000 entries, FHS student Kyle Dickens took home a gold medal with his 3-D two-headed dragon piece. Lauren Fly also had a mosaic piece and Taylor Rudell competed with a photography piece.
