Local Eagle Scout Cares About Flags

Life Time Plans New Gym

Life Time plans to open its Baybrook athletic club on Dec. 20. The $37 million fitness center, 19250 Gulfbrook Drive, spans 123,000 square feet and features eight tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pools, basketball courts, several exercise rooms, a children's program, spa and salon, and a fast-casual restaurant. 



Christmas Parade

 The city’s 32nd annual Christmas parade, December 8, begins at East Heritage Drive and ends at Stevenson Park, where Santa will join up with the “Santa in the Park” event, which features amusement rides, music, a holiday arts and crafts market and 40,000 pounds of snow. 6 p.m. (parade), 7:30 (Santa in the park). Christmas is Coming

Friendswood Road Plan

Duluth Trading Coming to Friendswood

New Bakery Makes a Home in Katy

The International chain 85C Bakery Cafe held a grand opening of its Friendswood location, 19028 I-45, near Baybrook Mall, on Oct. 26. The shop serves over 100 kinds of sweet and savory baked goods, from breads and pastries to croissants, danishes and cakes—all baked fresh daily—as well as a line of coffees and teas.
