Parents Only Event: Windsong Intermediate’s Coffee and Conversations

Windsong Intermediate’s parents are invited to a Coffee and Conversations event to learn about Cyberbullying and Digital Citizenship on Wednesday, October 16 at 9 a.m. in the Windsong Library. Please call (281) 482-0111 to RSVP by Monday, October 7. Parents will hear from Mrs. Fiesinger and Mrs. Hoover about different ways to help keep students safe on the internet.

Students are using technology in their academic and personal lives more than ever, and it will continue to be integrated into their lives as the years go by. Schools have begun implementing laptops and tablets into the curriculum as more convenient ways for students to complete homework. It is impossible for students to stay off of the internet now, which means parents must be aware of their students’ activity to help them understand why it is important to be safe on the web.

This event is a chance for parents to converse with one another and discuss ideas with Mrs. Fiesinger and Mrs. Hoover to understand what the best way is to help students stay aware when they are online. The West Ranch community would like to encourage the parents of Windsong Intermediate’s students to attend and be vigilant to help them succeed in every way possible!
