Top Ten Award

 Shriya Alli and Haley Romine had the opportunity to attend the HOSA International Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida. Besides the United States, students from Mexico, Canada, China and American Samoa were in attendance and competed. The students competed in First Aid/CPR Skills and earned a top 10 finish. Pokemon Go Event

Mark your calendars for some fun! Clear Lake Pokemon will host a Pokemon Go event in Stevenson Park. Proceeds will be donated to the Friendswood Animal Shelter, and the event will include raffles for adults and children, challenges, scavenger hunts and trainer battles. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. $15 (adults), free (kids). 1100 S. July 4th Parade

The 124th Friendswood July Fourth Celebration parade will begin at 10 a.m. at Heritage and Friendswood drives and end at Stevenson Park at 1100 S. Friendswood Drive, where the day program is held. Evening events are held at 7:30 p.m. at Centennial Park at 2200 S. Friendswood Drive. Free.
